who is Hearst

Since 1922, Hearst, a global media conglomerate, has delighted, enlightened, and empowered people in the UK. With publications including Esquire, Harper's Bazaar, and Good Housekeeping, Hearst controls 21 of the top magazines available in the UK. They reach a fourth of the UK population each month with their 4 million magazine circulation and 26 million active unique digital users. Their mission is to "create premium, purposeful content that helps our

audiences and partners strive, thrive, and get more out of life," according to their website. By incorporating educational and engaging information that provides the audience with a unique experience, I hope to construct my project in line with the principles that Hearst upholds throughout their business and magazines. They have a variety of lifestyle publications, including "Good Housekeeping," "Esquire," "Prima," and "Red," that cater to older women, 25–35 year old males, and 25–35 year old women. Since there is a market need for lifestyle magazines targeted at young adults aged 16 to 25, I will develop magazine covers for the target demographic of 16 to 25-year-olds as part of my project. I want to start a lifestyle publication that emphasises women's fashion among young adults.
